The volume considers how the British people held the fort after the fall of France with the period covered within this volume being when Churchill was Prime Minister. 

The series was written using Churchill's own notes and through his access to official documents. 

With three folding maps and eighteen further maps and diagrams within the text. In the original clipped dustwrapper.
Collated, complete.

Condition

In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, smart with only a few marks to the spine and boards. Internally, firmly bound with bright and clean pages. In the original clipped dustwrapper. The spine is faded and there is some bumping but remains smart.
