With some real examples of historical game play. Written by Antonio Scaino, an Italian priest and commentator on Aristotle, St. Paul, tennis, and other ball-games. Translated by W. W. Kershaw, a British specialist translator. With historical notes from P. A. Negretti, a historian specialising in sports.

In the original red cloth binding. Externally, very smart with light shelf wear to the extremities. Fading to the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean throughout.
