    The first edition of these issues.

    Three volumes of 'The Motor', one of the most popular weekly motoring magazines of Britain that ran from 1903 to 1988, when it was absorbed by its rival 'Autocar'.

    1951 includes the issues from the 10th October, 17th October, and 24th October.

    1952 includes the issues from the 7th May, 15th October, 22nd October, and 29th October.

    1953 includes the issues from the 14th October, 21st October, 21st October, and 28th October.

    Generally 'Motor' was considered to be more informative and conservative than it's rival 'Autocar'. The contents included news and scoops of latest and upcoming cars, the news and results of various motorsport results, car reviews with specifications and impression, road tests, and more.

    Each issue is highly illustrated throughout with in-text monochrome illustrations of cars.

    Replete with the charming original adverts throughout, including some in colour.

    Original front wrap of the 17th October 1951 issue is bound in.

    Condition

    Rebound in a cloth binding. Externally, smart. Spines and extremities are a little faded. Minor marks to the boards, light bumping to the spines and extremities. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are lightly age-toned and clean.
