The first edition. In the publisher's original cloth binding. With a frontispiece and 46 illustrated diagrams. Collated complete. An educational resource and scientific guide to plant biology and morphology. By the renowned British scientist, Agnes Arber, who was the first female botanist to be elected as a Fellow of the Royal Society and the third woman overall. Her scientific research focused on the monocotyledon group of flowering plants.

Condition

In the original full cloth binding. Externally, very smart with some shelf wear to the extremities and bumping to the spine. Some marks to the spine. Spotting to the front free endpapers. Previous owner's ink signature to the front free endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Binding strained between pages 48 and 49 but still firm. Pages bright and clean with a few scattered spots.
