First published in 1932, this mystery novel follows Lord Peter Wimsey in a locked-room mystery alongside Harriet Vane.

Dorothy Leigh Sayers (1893-1957) was a prolific English writer remembered for her crime fiction, in particular her novels and short stories featuring Lord Peter Wimsey, an aristocrat and sleuth. Sayers also wrote plays, poetry, translations of classical and modern works and literary criticisms.

In an uncommon yellow Gollancz dust wrapper.

This is the fifteenth impression of this work.

A cheap edition.

Condition

In the publisher's original full cloth binding, with an unclipped dust wrapper. Externally very smart, with just a little minor wear. Dust wrapper is a touch sunned to the spine, with occasional marks to the spine and front cover. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are a touch age-toned to the edges, but otherwise bright and clean.
