This fascinating historical work was edited by Francis W. Steer, and provides an account of seventeenth and eighteenth century interior design, furniture, and belongings found in farms and cottages in Essex.

Condition

In the publisher's original cloth. Externally very smart with only the slightest rubbing to the extremities, slight fading to the text to the spine, and the odd minor mark. Offsetting to the endpapers and a past owner's signature to the front free endpaper. Internally firmly bound with bright and generally clean pages with only the odd spot to the front.
