First Edition, Leather Binding, Signed

The author's copy with his signature to the title page. First edition, first printing of the American edition of this novel. John Prebble was an English journalist, documentarian, novelist and popular historian. He wrote several fictional works although is best known for his works on Scottish history.

Condition

In a half morocco binding with cloth covered boards. Externally, generally smart with patches of slight rubbing to the extremities and to the joints, heavier to the front joint. Internally, firmly bound. The author's signature to the title page. Pages are slightly age toned to edges and clean throughout.
