[1950/1951] A Murder is Announced
What Our Customers Say...
Description
Early Edition, Publishers' Original Binding
One of only three Christie titles to be published by the 'Thriller Book Club', alongside 'A Pocket Full of Rye', and 'They Came to Baghdad'.
This Thriller Book Club edition was published in either 1950 or 1951, with the latest work provided in the list of titles facing the title page being 'Crooked House', which was published in 1949.
Within this exciting work, the villagers of Chipping Cleghorn, including Jane Marple, are stunned by an advertisement in the local gazette which reads: ‘A murder is announced and will take place on Friday October 29th, at Little Paddocks at 6.30 p.m.’
Marple aids the local police in their investigation.
