With no signature or limitation number filled to the limitation page. This edition is out of series with a variant binding.
Cf. Alderson 2003 No. 29 P69. Only one other copy recorded in this binding. This issue is with full blue cloth binding either issued separately or with the decorated paper boards removed.
Literally translated from the Arabic into French by J. C. Mardrus and then translated into modern English by E. Powys Mathers.
With beautiful colour illustrations throughout the text by Edward Ardizzone, the well renowned English painter and print maker.
Condition
In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, excellent. There is some slight bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. Internally, generally firmly bound. The pages are very bright and clean.
