An undated copy, a first edition and impression with no issue specified (later impression state dates) and in the original publisher's cream cloth binding (later impressions are in a red binding.) Dated accordingly 1949 from Jisc.

Condition
In the original publisher's cream cloth binding with detail in red to the lower right corner of the front board. Externally excellent with only minor shelf wear and a minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine and extremities. Inscribed 'Diana Macnaughlan' to the front free endpaper. The dust wrapper is smart and unclipped with some shelf wear and minor soiling to the wraps, faint spotting internally, and some chipping to the head and tail of the spine and extremities. Internally, firmly bound. The pages are bright and clean. Richly illustrated throughout.
