By Evelyn Cheesman, a British entomologist and traveller. Cheesman went on eight solo expeditions in the South Pacific, and collected over 70,000 specimens. She wrote extensively on the subject, with this work focusing upon her expedition to New Guinea. An interesting work, profusely illustrated throughout.

In the original blue cloth binding in the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally very smart with the odd mark to the board. Dust wrapper is smart with occasional chipping and closed tear to the extremities. The odd mark to the wrap. Internally firmly bound. Pages bright and clean.
