First Edition, Publishers' Original Binding, With Dustwrapper

The first edition of all volumes.

Comprising: 'Dances of Sweden' (1949); 'Dances of Switzerland' (1949); 'Dances of Austria' (1948), 'Dances of Scotland' (1950), 'Dances of Yugoslavia' (1952); and 'Dances of Norway' (1951). 

All volumes retain the original dustwrappers. 

From the library of Joan Hewson, the Renowned Cecchetti School of Dance Instructor. Joan left a legacy of numerous successful professional dancers from across the world. She was greatly appreciated  by her students, as is evident from the many gifts that form her library.

Six charming works, exploring the music, costume, and design of national dance.

Condition

In the publisher's original cloth bindings, with the original dustwrappers. Wrappers to Yugoslavia and Norway are price-clipped. Externally, all volumes are generally smart, with just some minor spots and fading to the spines and boards. Dustwrappers to Switzerland and Austria have suffered large loss to the spines. The front wrap to Switzerland and Austria are detached from the rest of the wrapper. The dustwrappers to other volumes have a few light chips and patches of rubbing. Prior owner's inscription to the recto of front endpapers, Joan Hewson. Internally, all volumes are firmly bound. Pages are bright. Occasional light scattered spots.
