'Farmer Giles of Ham' is a comic medieval fable, documenting the encounters of Farmer Giles and a dragon named Chrysophylax.

A light-hearted fable set in the Dark Ages, this work was written by Tolkien in 1937, though it wasn't published until 1949.

Illustrated with a colour frontispiece, and in-text illustrations.

Written by J. R. R. Tolkien, who is best known for his 'Lord of the Rings' trilogy.

Illustrated by Pauline Diana Baynes.

Condition

In the original publisher's cloth binding, in the original unclipped dustwrapper. Externally, smart. A little bumping to the head and tail of the spine. A few very light marks to the boards. Dustwrapper with a few light marks. Minor edgewear to the dustwrapper, with a repair to the head of the spine to the reverse. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
