Nadine Gordimer was a popular South African writer, who received the 1991 Novel Prize in Literature. Alfred Nobel noted that her 'magnificent epic writing has.. been of a very great benefit to humanity'. Her works tend to cope with both moral and racial issues, particularly apartheid in South Africa.
In a blue cloth binding with original dustwrapper. Externally, generally smart, though with a few marks, some bumping, and cocking to the spine. Dustwrapper has some creasing and closed tears, with a few marks, and sunning to the spine and tape repairs to the rear. Internally, generally firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean, with just the odd spot to the textblock edge.
