Covers the period from Peace at its Zenith 1922-1931 to Naval losses in the Norwegian campaign April-June 1940. With fourteen illustrations. Volume II Their Finest Hour, 1949. Covers the period from the National coalition to desert victory and ocean peril. With twenty illustrations, three of which are on folding plates. Collated complete. Volume III The Grand Alliance, 1950. Covers the period from the widening war to Anglo-American accords. With twenty-four illustrations, three of which are on folding plates. Collated complete. Volume VI Triumph and Tragedy, 1954. Covers the period from D Day to Potsdam: The Polish Frontiers. With twenty-seven illustrations, eleven of which are on folding plates. Collated complete.

Condition

In the original black cloth binding. Externally, smart with light shelf wear and bumping to the extremities. The odd mark to the board. Original unclipped dust wrappers are sound with chipping to the extremities and the odd closed tear. Volume VI dust wrapper is price-clipped. Volume one has loss to the tail of the spine, volume three has loss to the front board. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean.
