This is a German language first edition copy of a memorial for the 1948 Olympics and Winter Olympics, with the Winter Olympics being held in St. Moritz and the Olympics in London. 

This is volume contains two parts, one celebrating the Winter Olympics and the other the Olympics in London. 

The part that covers the Winter Olympics in St. Moritz celebrates the thirty one nations that competed, being the fifth winter Olympics and the first after then end of the Second World War.  

Each part has a tipped in frontispiece and ninety six illustrations to the first part and 198 to the second. 
Collated, complete

Condition

In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, lovely. Internally, firmly bound with generally bright and clean pages with very light spotting to the first few pages.
