This unusual novella has been identified as owing 'a little too much to Kafka', sharing in his same strangeness. The hero awakes to find himself able to walk only at a 45-degree angle, having completely lost his body's equilibrium.
Illustrated with five plates from prominent twentieth century portrait artist Lucian Freud, the grandson of Sigmund Freud. Collated, complete.
With bookplates from Bristol Public Libraries to the front pastedown and front free endpaper, and their stamps to the title page. No further library markings.
