Illustrated, Publishers' Original Binding
A 1948 reprint of this work, though 1936 is stated to the edition page; this is the 1948 reprint as the cloth is a tan colour with dark brown lettering, rather than the blue cloth of the 1936 first edition. Other reprints between the first edition and this 1948 reprint had red cloth.
'Swords of Mars' is a cloak and dagger science fantasy novel, the eighth in the popular Barsoom series.
Illustrated with a frontispiece by J. Allen St. John.
Written by Edgar Rice Burroughs, an American speculative fiction author, best known for creating the character Tarzan.
Without the original dustwrapper.
Condition
In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, smart. Light bumping to the head and tail of the spine. A few minor marks to the boards. Spine is a little faded. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
