Margaret Jourdain was a prominent writer of English furniture decoration and its history in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.

The dust wrapper is worn, with some significant loss to the spine and rear board.
Condition
In the original publisher's cloth binding and unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, smart. There is some minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. The dust wrapper is worn, with some significant loss to the spine and rear board. The hinges are slightly strained but firm. Prior owner's ink inscription to the first free endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. The pages are bright and clean with some spotting to the endpapers and the odd spot throughout.
