This work scholarly explores the subject of heraldry, with references to various influences on designs, colours used, divisions of the field of the shield and how they are used to symbolise the family. 

Condition

In the original cloth binding. In the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, very smart with slight shelf wear to the extremities. Dust wrapper is edge worn, with spotting and marks to the wrap. Chipping to the head of spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean with offsetting to the endpapers.
