    Description

    First Edition, Folding Plates, Illustrated, Publishers' Original Binding, With Dustwrapper

    Robert Bignold records the history of his forefathers from his great-great grandfather to himself, illuminating the family that founded the Norwich Union which grew to become one of the largest British financial institutions, Aviva, and the history of Norwich and Britain as a whole. 

    Including forty-five plate illustrations and a fold out family tree. 
    Collated, complete.

    Condition

    In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, very smart. Light bumping to the tail of the spine. Internally, firmly bound with bright clean pages. Small mark to front free end paper. In the original unclipped dustwrapper.  Some bumping to the head and tail. Spine is discoloured as is the top of the rear wrap. The extremities are also bumped. Some marks to the rear wrap and fading to the joints.
