    A new edition, revised and edited by E Benezit. Limited to three thousand sets printed to vol. I, the present number 1275. Complete in eight volumes. In the original French. 

    A comprehensive dictionary in eight volumes containing critical and bibliographical information of painters, sculptors, designers, and engravers from all country and all times. Compiled by a team of international specialists.

    Known in English as 'Benezit Dictionary of Artists,' this work was created primarily for art museums, auction houses, historians and dealers. First published in French between 1911 and 1923. 

    Collated, complete with thirty-two full page heliographic plates reproduction of paintings, sculptures, &c. per volume (total of 256).

    Condition

    In the original publisher's uniform full cloth bindings. Externally very smart with light bumping to head and tail of spine, lightly chipped to head rear joint vol. 5. Hinges slightly strained, holding firm. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and clean.
