The first edition of this work. In the original unclipped dustwrapper. A fascinating science paper on the subject of cosmic rays and nuclear physics. Illustrated with numerous in-text illustrations. Written by Lajos Janossy, a Hungarian physicist and astrophysicist. He was best known for research into astrophysics, quantum mechanics, mathematical physics, statistics, and optics. He was largely focussed on cosmic rays at the beginning of his career.

In the original publisher's cloth binding, in the original unclipped dustwrapper. Externally, smart. Light bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extrmeities. Small bump to the spine. Dustwrapper with some discolouration to the reverse. Small chips to the extremities, with light marks and spots to the wraps. Sticker to the front flyleaf. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. Small bump to the bottom edge of pages 1 to 6.
