The first German edition of this work, rebound in a cloth binding with the original paper wraps bound in.

A biography of the life and work of the important composer, conductor and pianist Benjamin Britten (1913-1976), written in German by Eric Walter White (1905-1985). White was a musicologist, composer, translator, editor, and writer, who was an expert on British opera.

This first German edition is a scarce work.

Condition

Rebound in a cloth binding with the original paper wraps bound in. Externally, very smart. Small and faint mark to the front board. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean. Original wraps are age toned, causing offsetting to the first and last couple of pages added during rebinding.
