Containing lists of ships, establishments, and officers of the fleet from the Royal Navy. Reference to April 1947 in two volumes: vol. I containing alphabetical Indexes and volume II containing officers lists in order of Seniority.
A very scarce work, rarely seen on the market. It can be found in institutional libraries such as the British Library and the University of Cambridge libraries among others.
Front wrap states 'This book is the property of H. M. Government and not to be taken outside the ship or establishment for which it is issued. [...] Old copies wherever possible are to be returned for pulpinhg, they are not to be disposed of outside H. M. Service.'
Compiled and published by order of the Lords Commissioners of the admiralty for the convenience of the Service.
In the original publisher's wraps. Externally with some shelf wear and creasing to extremities, chipped to head and tail of spine, spine lightly sunned. Minor closed tear to front wrap vol II. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and clean.
