The biography of the author's son, who died at the age of twenty five when on a reconnaissance patrol. A moving and well-documented biography, from the letters written by the boy and the father's diary, providing an interesting study of the development of character during that difficult transition from boyhood to adulthood.

Illustrated with a frontispiece and six full page plates of photographs. With the unclipped dust wrapper.

Condition

In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally excellent with only a minor shelf wear and a minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. The dust wrapper is unclipped and lovely with minor shelf wear only. Internally, firmly bound. The pages are bright and clean. Illustrated with a frontispiece and six full page plates of photographs.
