A detailed history of the United States of America, with commentary from the inauguration of George Washington, through the War of 1812, Old Hickory in the Presidency, gold digging, the Rail Splitter Campaign of 1860, claiming Cuba and Hawaii, the rise of Uncle Sam, the assassination of McKinley, Roosevelt becoming President, the First and Second World Wars, and many details in between. Written by Roger Butterfield, an American writer.

Condition

In the original red cloth binding. Externally, smart with light shelf wear to the extremities and fading to the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with the odd spot or handling mark. Contemporary ink inscription to the front endpaper dated 1947.
