What Our Customers Say...
Colour Plates, First Edition, Folding Maps, Illustrated, Publishers' Original Binding
A fascinating and compelling account of the campaign in North West Europe, which began with 'Operation Overlord' (more widely known as D-Day), followed by the liberation of France and an advance through Belgium, the Netherlands, and the Rhineland, finally ending in Germany's surrender.
Written by Field Marshal the Viscount Montgomery of Alamein, Bernard Montgomery, a decorated war hero who personally commanded the British Eighth Army during the Allied Invasion of Sicily and Italy, as well as during the Battle of Normandy. He then continued with the 21st Army Group during the North West Europe campaign, and personally accepted German surrender in north-western Europe at Luneburg Heath at the end of the Second World War.
