A collection of nine first edition novels.

Bound in the publisher's original cloth, with the original dust wrappers, eight of which remain unclipped.

Written by English novelist Winsome Ruth Key Godden, who wrote under the pseudonym Jon Godden. This collection is comprised of nine of the ten novels written solely by Godden, who co-wrote a number of additional novels with her sister Rumer Godden.

Comprised of:

'The House by the Sea' (1947).
'The Peacock' (1950).
'The City and the Wave' (1954).
'The Seven Islands' (1956).
'Mrs. Panopoulis' (1959).
'Told in Winter' (1961).
'In the Sun' (1965).
'Kitten with Blue Eyes' (1971).
'Ahmed's Lady' (1975).

Condition

In the publisher's original cloth binding, with eight unclipped dust wrappers, with 'Told in Winter' clipped. Externally, excellent, with minor shelf wear and the odd mark to cloth. A slight lean to 'The House by the Sea'. The occasional spot to endpapers. Dust wrappers are very bright, with light edge wear to some and slight sunning to the spines. The odd closed tear or chip to 'The Peacock', 'Told in Winter' and 'In the Sun. Light marking to 'The Seven Islands', with a tide mark near the rear gutter. Tape reinforcing the reverse of 'The House by the Sea'. The occasional mark or light spotting to the wraps, mainly to the reverse, with a pink mark to the reverse of 'Kitten with Blue Eyes'. Internally, firmly bound. One or two spots internally and to the fore edge of 'In the Sun' and 'The Seven Islands'.
