The first work present here is the 1947 first UK edition, first impression of the Jeeves and Wooster novel 'Joy in the Morning', first published in the US the year prior.

In this work, Bertie is persuaded by Jeeves to brave the home of his fearsome Aunt Agatha and her husband Lord Worplesdon, knowing that his former fiancée, the beautiful and formidable Lady Florence Craye will also be in attendance.

The second work present here is the 1950 first edition, first impression of the short story collection 'Nothing Serious'. Among the stories in this collection are two Drones Club stories about Bingo Little and Freddie Widgeon, five Oldest Member golf stories, one Blandings Castle story, one Ukridge story, and a standalone story.

With the inscription of H. G. A. Little to the front free endpaper of 'Nothing Serious'.

Condition

In the publisher's original cloth binding. Shelf wear to back strip head and tail, with cloth exceptionally bright. Inscription to 'Nothing Serious' front free endpaper. Internally, firmly bound, pages clean and bright.
