    First Edition, Publishers' Original Binding, Scarce, With Dustwrapper

    Scarce first edition of this detective novel by Alfred Alexander Gordon Clark under pseudonym Cyril Hare, English judge and crime writer. A scarce novel set during wartime civil service featuring many temporary members. Featuring his character Mr Pettigrew. 

    Complete with rare unclipped dust wrapper.

    Condition

    In the original publisher's full cloth binding. Externally excellent with minor shelf wear only, lightly bumped to head and tail of spine and extremities. Dust wrapper unclipped and smart with shelf wear, chipped to head and tail of spine, spine age toned. Previous ownership pencil inscription to front free endpaper, undated. Internally, firmly bound. Light minor spotting to endpapers, otherwise pages bright and clean.
