First Edition, Publishers' Original Binding, Signed, Very Scarce, With Dustwrapper

Inscribed to the front free endpaper 'with every good wish from Mariana and Raymond Tong, June: 1947'.

In the publisher's original dust wrapper, price unclipped.

Consisting of twenty-seven short poetic pieces by Tong, who also authored the 1942 volume of poetry 'Requiem for the War Dead', and the 1951 volume 'Angry Decade: Poems'. Many of his works reflect on the Second World War, with this volume being published the year after its conclusion.

Condition

In the publisher's original cloth binding, with price unclipped dust wrapper. Bumping to back strip tail, otherwise externally excellent. Lacking large portions of the dust wrapper back strip, with significant losses to the head of the back strip, and further closed tears. Lower third of back strip remains intact. Discolouration to wrap perimeters, with loss to head of rear wrap, and a further small loss to the back strip tail. Inscription to front free endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages lightly age toned, but clean.
