A scarce, signed, Limited Edition book of verse from English poet Hugh Popham.

Signed by Popham to the limitation page, this is no. 75 of eighty-one copies printed. Housed in a paper covered slip case.

Identified in his obituary as 'perhaps the only British poet of stature to reflect the experience of young flyers in the Second World War', Popham published a number of collections of poetry in the 1940s and 1950s, many reflecting on his experiences as a pilot.

Condition

In the publisher's original quarter vellum binding, with cloth covered boards. Discolouration to vellum, with boards clean and bright. Housed in a paper covered slip case, lacking the back strip. Internally, firmly bound. Pages clean and bright.
