The first edition of the work, considered to be the scarcest in the series. In the original scarce pictorial dust wrapper, unfortunately lacking the front flyleaf. The Castle of Adventure is the second book in the Adventure Series, and tells the story of a group of children as they attempt to solve the mystery of the strange goings on at a castle in Scotland, whilst on holiday. Illustrated throughout by Stuart Tresilian.
Condition
In the original pictorial cloth binding in the original decorative dust wrapper. Externally very smart with slight shelf wear to the extremities. Dust wrapper is sound. Front flyleaf has been neatly removed. Creasing and chipping to the spine. and joints of the wrap. Tape repairs to the reverse of the wrap. Internally firmly bound. Pages bright and clean with just the odd spot and marginal age toning.
