1946 Over to You: Ten Stories of Flyers and Flying
What Our Customers Say...
First Edition, Publishers' Original Binding, With Dustwrapper
A collection of short stories by the famed author Roald Dahl. The first UK edition and impression, the true first edition was published in the same year in the US by Reynal & Hitchcock.
Dahl's short stories are usually known for their unexpected endings, however this early collection departs from his better known stories, as for most part they don't use suspense and leave out twist endings. Instead, they are more slow-paced and highly reflective.
Containing ten short stories of flyers and flying, drawn upon the author's experiences in the R.A.F. Some of the titles comprised are: 'An African Story,' 'Beware of the Dog,' 'Someone Like You,' and 'Yesterday was Beautiful.'
