The History of Western Philosophy is a survey of western philosophy from the pre-Socratic philosophers to the early twentieth century. The volume is in three books, Ancient Philosophy, Catholic Philosophy and Modern Philosophy.
Bertrand Russell was a British mathematician, philosopher, intellectual and a founder of analytic philosophy who won the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1950. The History of Western Philosophy is cited as one of the books which won him the prize.
Condition
In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, smart with some fading to the spine and some marks to the boards. There is a pervious owner inscription to the front free endpaper. Internally, firmly bound with generally bright and clean pages with the first few pages being a little browned.
