Mary Webb was an English romantic novelist and poet, who was known for setting her writings in the countryside of Shropshire, and her Shropshire characters inspired by people knew. Allegedly, her novels inspired the noted satire Cold Comfort Farm.

Condition
In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally excellent with only minor shelfwear and slight bumping to head and tail of spine. The dustwrapper is unclipped and very smart with slight shelfwear and sunning to spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
