A collection of four French children's books adorned with the art of Pierre Belves, French illustrator of the twentieth century. In the 'Pere Castor' series which takes the name from its protagonist, a beaver who enjoys explaining things of the world to his children.
This group looks at the art of pottery through the world, various saints engraved in wood to colour, ceramic ware of France, and common art to colour.
Condition
In the original publisher's colourful wraps. Externally very smart with minor shelf wear, gentle handling mark to occasional volume. Internally, firmly bound. Pages generally bright and clean.
