What Our Customers Say...

Description

Colour Plates, Early Edition, First Edition, Illustrated, Publishers' Original Binding, With Dustwrapper

An eighteen volume set of works from 'The New Naturalist Library', a series published by Collins on a variety of natural history topics relevant to the British Isles.

Fourteen volumes are first editions, with four being later editions or printings.

Each volume retains the original dust wrapper. Six are price clipped, with ten unclipped.

The books were written in a scientific yet accessible style, intended to be readable by non-specialists. The books of the series have had considerable influence on the study of biology, and many of the authors who wrote the later works were inspired by the long running nature of the series. Being a numbered series with a very low print run for some volumes, they are highly collectable. Sets as large as this are exceptionally scarce.
