What Our Customers Say...
Description
Fine Binding, First Edition, Leather Binding
The collection comprises correspondence with his friend T. J. Hogg, Mary Shelley, and T. L. Peacock, along with a previously unpublished prose fragment. The publisher, The Golden Cockerel Press, was a private press which specialised in the production of handmade limited editions. The paper was often handmade, as it is in this case. It was almost famous for its wood engravings, of which there are exaples here. Direct from the library of the late Hugh Selbourne MD (1906-1973) a noted book collector and diarist.
