First edition of Sun Compass by Francis Chichester in the original publisher's cloth binding.
A very scarce work on the history and importance of a sun compass, with directions on how to use it. Includes a double sided pocket sun compass inserted into the front board.
Written by Francis Chichester, who was a Air Navigation Specialist who was awarded the Johnston Memorial Trophy for Navigation in 1931.
In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, smart. There is some bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. Internally, loosely bound. The pages are bound together but loose from the binding. The pages are bright and clean. The compass is in very good condition.
