First Edition, Illustrated, Publishers' Original Binding, Very Scarce, With Letter
A limited edition, with six hundred copies printed, the first one hundred of which were printed on handmade paper. This is number twenty-two.
A charming collection of eight well-known British songs and their musical accompaniment. Published for the New Year of 1944.
Containing 'God save the King', 'Rule, Britannia', 'The British Grenadiers', 'Heart of Oak', 'Tipperary', 'Yankee Doodle', 'O God, our Help in Ages Past' and 'Auld Lang Syne'.
With a note from the publisher, Henrik Park, who took over from Dutch bookbinder and publisher, Ankers Kysters after his death in 1939. The note is written in Dutch, translated as "Along with this little book of songs, best wishes are sent to you for Christmas and New Year", signed by Park.
With delightful vignette illustrations from Else Sadolin. Some pages remain unopened, including pages with illustrations.

Condition
Bound in the publisher's original paperback binding. Externally, lovely, with the odd handling mark. Light offsetting to endpapers. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and clean, with some pages remaining unopened. A small closed tear to the head of the title page, not affecting text.
