Combined operations are ones in which two or more of the Fighting Services co-operate in order to strike the enemy, from small raids to assault landings. It is often used as tactic to execute raids on the enemy coasts.
Combined Operations Headquarters was a department of the British War Office set up during Second World War to harass the Germans on the European continent by means of raids carried out by use of combined naval and army forces.
Containing 44 illustrations in gravure and numerous maps.
Condition
In the original paper wraps. Externally, smart, with some edge wear and slight creasing to the joints. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and clean.
