First edition. Limited to three hundred copies of which this is number two hundred and twenty-one. Illustrated with facsimile reproductions to the rear. Collated complete. A collection of letters belonging to the Library of St. Michael's College in Tenbury, chiefly made by Mary Jane Ouseley, the sister of Sir Frederick Ouseley who founded the college. Containing over one hundred examples of historical correspondence. Selected and edited by Edmund Horace Fellowes, a Church of England clergyman and musical scholar who was honorary librarian of St. Michael's College, Tenbury, and Edward Pine, an English scholar.
Condition
In the original red cloth binding. Externally, smart with light rubbing and minor fading to the extremities. The odd small mark to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean. Much of the text block remains unopened.
