The first edition of this journal issued by the British Astronomical Association, vol. 52 of the fifty-second session, ten consecutive numbers from October 1941 to September 1942 with continuous pagination. Published six times a year and sent to all members, this journal comprises numerous articles concerning astronomy, as well as annual reports of meetings, information on memberships and candidates, accounts, reviews, and more. 

Chapters look for example at comets, discuss the Moon's age, the astronomical theory of the Ice Age, telescopes, and more. 

With numerous illustrations in text throughout as well as five full page plates. 

Condition

In a quarter calf binding over cloth covered boards. Externally sound with some shelf wear and a minor rubbing to the spine and boards, a touch of sunning to the spine. A cracking along the lower joint holding firm. Internally, firmly bound. With the odd minor faint spotting to the odd leaf, otherwise the pages are bright and clean. With numerous illustrations in text throughout as well as five full page plates.
