Description

First Edition, Publishers' Original Binding

The first edition, first impression.

Consisting of over twenty essays, reviews, and other miscellaneous items, most notable the titular essay. Viewed as a discussion of mental illness, the essay compares the insignificant short struggle and life of a moth to the daily struggles of human existence.

A fascinating collection of essays from one of the greatest writers of the twentieth century, providing unique insights into Woolf's attitudes in the final years of her life.
