Illustrated with a monochrome frontispiece, seventy-nine photographs and four plates. Collated complete.

In the publisher's original cloth and in the original vanishingly scarce dust wrapper. 

This autobiographical travelogue was written by Violet Cressy-Marcks and provide an account of the author's time in China. Cressy-Marcks embarked on many travels, with this being an account of her sixth visit to China, describing the atmosphere and the beauty of the country as well as the political situation and customs.

Condition

In the publisher's original cloth with the original clipped dust wrapper. Externally very smart with rubbing to the extremities and a slight lean. The wrap is sound with rubbing and small closed tears to the extremities, handling marks to the rear, loss to the head of the spine and a closed tear to the front spine joint. Internally firmly bound with bright and generally clean pages with only light spotting to the blanks.
