    The first edition of this scarce work in the publisher's original paper wraps.

    A pamphlet by the Union of Democratic Control, arguing that 'Fall of France' during the Second World War was due to the lack of previous social reform, the economic slump of the 1930s, a lack of education among the lower classes, and most importantly, the consequent weakness of democracy in France.

    The Union of Democratic Control was a British pressure group formed in 1914 to press for a more responsive foreign policy. While not a pacifist organisation, it was opposed to military influence in government.

    With an application form for membership of the Union of Democratic Control to the rear.

    Condition

    In the publisher's original paper wraps. Externally, generally smart and bright, with a little offsetting to the front of the wraps. Staples are rusting. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean.
