Description

First Edition, Illustrated, Publishers' Original Binding, Scarce

An important Training Memoranda published during the Second World War, from 1941 to 1946. Issued by the Department of the Air Member for training.

This monthly periodical contained many hints and tips to improve efficiency in training and in operations against the enemy. A rarely obtainable original record of the spirit of the Air Force in the Second World War.

The first editions in the original bindings, embellished with many sketches throughout by Raff, known for creating the wartime comic character of Percy Prune.

This collection is comprised of:

Vol 1: Number 7, October 1941; the complete volume from April 1941 to March 1942; with the Christmas and New Year's issue covering from December 1941 to January 1942.

Vol 2: The complete volume from April 1942 to March 1943.

Vol. 3: The complete run from April 1943 to March 1944. Possibly lacking No. 9 however since No. 10 covered both December 1942 and January 1943, it is unclear whether No. 9 was ever printed.

Vol. 5: No. 2, May 1945; No. 5 August 1945; No. 6 September 1945.
