'Death to the Spy' is a thrilling spy novel in which a group of Italians working in Corsica are suspected of espionage. Newman's recurring characters Papa Pontivy and his self-named Captain Newman are called in to investigate.

Written by Bernard Newman, a prolific author noted for his spy and mystery fiction, and for his non-fiction travel work. He was the great-nephew of George Eliot.

The fourth impression, published in May 1941.

Condition

In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, smart. Spine is faded, with a little light fading to the extremities. Minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. A few small marks to the boards and spine. Gift inscription to the recto of the front endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are lightly age-toned and clean.
